6 Ingredients That You Need to Whip Up an Amazing Christmas Feast

6-ingredients-that-you-need-to-whip-up-an-amazing-christmas-feast

Mega Prime, together with Prime Mom Club, helps mothers have a Paskong Easy Sarap with its new line of ingredients.

A joyous and much-anticipated time of the year, Christmas is a special day for celebrations and gift-giving. But more than that, it’s a time for family, friends, and loved ones to come together.

And true to Filipino fashion, an occasion as well-loved as this is best celebrated with lots of good food to share—from party trays to homemade dishes, family favorites, and more.

Good food, however, goes hand-in-hand with equally good ingredients. And let’s not forget a tried and tested recipe, too. With that in mind, our friends at Mega Prime introduce ways on how you can make your Christmases memorable—from the safety of your homes.

New Mega Prime Must-haves

This holiday season, Mega Prime debuts new ingredients, which are sure to make the celebratory preparations easier and stress-free—while at the same time adding more variety to the table. These include:

Young Corn and Whole Kernel Corn

Whether for sweet or savory dishes, Whole Kernel Corn is a must-have in every pantry. It’s so versatile that you can use it in soups, salads, side dishes, or even in desserts (Mais con Yelo, anyone?). On the other hand, the Young Corn—one of Mega Prime’s newest canned products—makes a delicious addition to savory dishes, thanks to its meaty but soft texture.

Nata de Coco in Ube, Pineapple, and Melon Flavors

When you think of fruit salads, halo-halo, and other cold desserts, Nata de Coco comes to mind. And really, what’s not to like? Although bigger than the usual nata that you find in milk teas and fruit teas, these OG coconut jellies are a must in every Filipino kitchen.

Adding a creative spin to a well-loved classic, Mega Prime debuts flavored Nata de Coco. What’s more, these make preparations much easier, as you don’t need to add any flavoring or colors anymore. Plus, they even make your desserts more fun—both in visual appearance and taste.

Same chewy texture, same burst of sweetness, but now with a fruity addition of melon or pineapple, or the earthiness of ube, depending on which one you choose.

Fruit Cocktail

Fruit salads are synonymous with Filipino celebrations—with some even elevating it into a Buko Salad. But with this kind of dessert comes the need for fruits… and lots of it, too. In order to reduce the prep time of buying and cutting fruits, Mega Prime offers its very own Fruit Cocktail. So generously filled with a mix of different elements, like papaya, peaches, and even nata de coco, this can is practically a fruit salad in a can—sans the cream and sweetener, that is.

Likewise, you can also use this Fruit Cocktail for different desserts—from refrigerator cakes to floats, fruit parfaits, and more. Yum!

Paskong Easy Sarap

In celebrations, moms are undeniably the real MVP. With tips and tricks, grocery must-haves, and kitchen hacks up their sleeves, these moms know their way around the kitchen. Thus, Prime Mom Club was born. This interactive, growing community is a treasure trove of recipes for like-minded homemakers and savvy moms—truly a great place to get ideas for your next handaan.

MOM COOKING

In the Paskong Easy Sarap workshop—an event organized by Mega Prime and the Prime Mom Club—moms were taught new recipes for the upcoming holidays, which included a special twist to old Pinoy favorites, like Ube Macapuno coolers, Tropical Fruit ref cakes, and more. This was led by some key Prime Moms—Mommy Connh Cruz and Chef Rosebud. Plus, Prime Mom Club’s honorary member and Mega Prime’s brand ambassador, Marian Rivera Dantes even made a special appearance!

“We formed the Prime Mom Club because we wanted to create a fun and enriching space where moms can bond with other moms, learn from each other, and at the same time have easy access to home and kitchen hacks that make their life a little easier,” says Marvin Tiu Lim, Mega Global Chief Growth and Development Officer.

“With the holiday season always being hectic, we hope that this workshop, along with our new Mega Prime products, lessens their stress and give them more time with family,” he adds.
