KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah expressed his congratulations on Ramadan Al-Mubarak and fasting to all Muslims in the country.
Also delivering the speech was Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.
In conjunction with the arrival of Ramadan, Al-Sultan Abdullah called on Muslims to reap the blessings of this holy month to strengthen piety in themselves and double worship and practice.
“His Majesty also called on Muslims in Malaysia to enliven this month full of blessings with various forms of meaningful fulfillment and further strengthen the brotherhood among human beings.
“His Majesty expressed the hope that the presence of this glorious month will also be celebrated with repentance and gratitude for the tests, blessings and favors that Allah SWT has bestowed on us,” according to a post on the Istana Negara Facebook page, today.
Meanwhile, Al-Sultan Abdullah advised the people not to be complacent and to practice self-control in preventing the spread of COVID-19 even though the country has entered a phase of transition to endemic.
Muslims in the country are also advised to persevere through the COVID-19 transmission test and be disciplined in adhering to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set for the transition phase.
According to His Majesty, the people are advised to ensure that they and their loved ones are protected by taking the COVID-19 booster vaccine dose.
“His Majesty invites all Muslims to take the blessings of Ramadan to be with His Majesty and pray that Malaysia continues to be blessed and protected from any form of threats and disasters and the spread of COVID-19 can be ended immediately,” according to the note.
