At nearly every meeting of our union executive the secretary’s travel allowance got a look in, and so was soon tripled…And it wasnt tied to any record keeping…With that out of the way the secretary made a claim on union funds for a loan to purchase for himself a new car – even though neither the executive, nor any meeting of members, could loan union funds to an individual…
After getting the loan the secretary offered to use his travel allowance, by not drawing it every week, to pay back the loan….It was a scam…He got the union to give him the money to pay off the loan of union funds…
Currently there’s a NSW state election campaign underway…The governing party is offering, as an election bribe, a nice little subsidy to voters to pay escalating household electricity costs…On the surface it has all the hallmarks of a scam…
The state government had privatised the tax-payer owned electricity sector…Prices are soaring…The governing party is now offering some of the proceeds of the sale to voters to pay their electricity bills…
In effect some of the money the new owners paid is being fed back to it via the original owners, the tax-payers…
It’s a public-private partnership scam !
They’re all in it together !
“Here’s some of the money i got from the man i sold your property to.
Now give the money back to the man who gave it to me for your your property”…
