Australia’s leading small group touring company, Bunnik Tours, is delighted to announce the resumption of their international tours in 2022.
With their campaign centred around ‘reconnect’, they hope to inspire everyone to rediscover the joy of travel.
Joint-CEO Dennis Bunnik is excited to once again travel with groups and will join multiple departures throughout the year.
The very first international Bunnik tour will be to Sri Lanka departing 29 January 2022. Dennis Bunnik will join this departure and travelling with the group for the first week of the tour.
“I am thrilled to be joining this departure and can’t wait to reconnect with the world and our amazing clients again,” Dennis said.
Bunnik Tours has close ties with Sri Lanka and opened an office there in July 2017.
“Our team in Sri Lanka can’t wait to welcome the first Bunnik tour in over 680 days and we have some extra special experiences planned as part of our first tour back,” Dennis revealed.
February will see the relaunch of their Middle East program with both the Highlight of Egypt and Highlights of Egypt & Jordan small group tours running.
One of Bunnik Tours senior leaders will be on the ground and will meet up with the first tours back in Egypt and Jordan.
Japan will return in March with eight departures scheduled for the magic of cherry blossom. The first of several departures will leave Australia on 20 March.
Dennis will head out with the first group and will spend a couple of weeks in Japan meeting up with as many of the groups as possible.
“Cherry blossom has always been the most popular time to visit Japan and 2022 will be no different,” Dennis explained.
April 2022 will mark the official resumption of their busy European touring program with the first departures, Spain, Portugal & Morocco on 23 April and Jewels of Dalmatia on 24 April.
Both Dennis and Sacha Bunnik (Joint-CEOs) are planning to be in Europe for the recommencement of tours.
As a part of the relaunch of international tours, Bunnik Tours has created a COVID-19 Safe Travel Taskforce.
“There are varying COVID-19 travel protocols overseas and just like Australia, they are changing regularly”.
“To manage this, we’ve set up a task force that will manage the information flow and ensure that they looked you after on each step of your journey”.
“This will include helping you navigate the various vaccine passport apps pre-departure,” Dennis explained.
Bunnik Tours, through its membership with the Council of Australian Tour Operators, is accredited as providing COVID safe travel practices through the World Travel & Tourism Council.
Besides the Adelaide based COVID-19 Safe Travel Taskforce, they have appointed an on-ground COVID Marshal in Europe and Asia to help ensure everyone travels safely and follows all the required protocols.
Bunnik Tours has always had a policy of using full-sized coaches with a maximum group size of 20 passengers.
“While they implemented this for your comfort, it turns out we were ahead of our time! We’ve been social distancing since 2012”.
“One thing that has not changed is our passion for travel and connection. We can’t wait to reconnect people, culture, food and sights of the incredible places we visit,” Dennis Bunnik said.
