Champagne does not need an occasion for it to be enjoyed. Living well is reason enough to pop open a bottle and pair it with great food that compliments the finely crafted wine inside. Inside each bottle is a veritable taste celebration that awaits. Making the moment special, wonderful and memorable makes it all the sweeter to experience. It is a wonderful occasion, coming together with friends and loved ones over a glass of glistening bubbles.
Serving Champagne Tips and Savoring
The Ritual of Serving Champagne
Perrier-Jouët, a champagne house, has created beautiful, flowery wines of unusual elegance with a Chardonnay signature. The cuvées’ elegance is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau anemones that grace the Belle Epoque bottle, and they provide moments of sheer delight and beauty. When it comes to serving, make it a ritual. BELLE ÉPOQUE COLLECTION
The beautiful spray of Japanese white anemones created for Maison Perrier-Jouët by Art Nouveau artist Emile Gallé in 1902 is instantly recognisable throughout the world. These gentle flowers are beautifully detailed and a lovely touch making the bottle so beautiful to look at while enjoying the fine wine.
Belle Époque Brut 2013
This is a champagne of extraordinary finesse. Fresh and delicate, with distinctive aromas of white fruit and flowers.
“I associate Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque with white orchids, which also happen to be my favourite flower. For me, this cuvée has the same combination of grace and elegance, delicacy and vibrancy, as well as the taut, structured quality of a white orchid.” SÉVERINE FRERSON
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé is a fiercely original champagne that blends rarity with the power to surprise, true to the free spirit of Maison Perrier-Jouët. It was first made in 1978, and it is only made in rare years and in extremely limited amounts. “Like all our vintage cuvées, Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé needs to be enjoyed in a leisurely manner,” says Séverine Frerson. This champagne pairs beautifully savoured with lobster and figs.
Gift Set with Flutes
Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs is a lively, spontaneous champagne with notes of crisp citrus and fresh florals.
It pays homage to the iconic Maison Perrier-iconic Jouët’s Chardonnay grape, which it interprets in a distinctive style. House of Perrier Jouët was carrying on a tradition that began in the early twentieth century, when the House introduced its first all Chardonnay cuvées in the 1920s, long before such champagnes were dubbed “Blancs de Blancs.” Hervé Deschamps creates Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs by blending Chardonnay grapes from several of the region’s finest terroirs with a small proportion of reserve wines to ensure absolute consistency of style and quality. The cuvée is ready to be released after three years on the lees in the Perrier Jouët cellars, brimming with freshness and vitality.
My favorite cuvee is Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs. It is a cuvée for connoisseurs, the absolute quintessence of Chardonnay. Séverine Frerson, cellar master of Perrier-Jouët
