KL City revenge mission extinct, died at the hands of JDT


KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) continued its winning momentum three times in a row in the Super League after beating Kuala Lumpur City FC 3-0, tonight.

The Harimau Selatan squad that traveled to the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium, Cheras took the lead in the 18th minute through a goal by Fernando Frontieri, making the score remain 1-0 until the end of the first half of the match.

Turning to the second half, the goalless City Boys squad was penalized to play with just 10 players after D Kenny Pallraj was shown a second yellow card for fouling Leandro Velazquez.

JDT scored the second goal through a penalty kick taken by Bergson da Silva in the 81st minute before ending the victory with the third goal scored by Bergson in extra time.

Meanwhile, another Super League match took place at the Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium, the host team Petaling Jaya City FC grabbed full points after disappointing Terengganu FC 3-0.

Daren Lok appeared the venomous scorer for PJ City after scoring hat-tricks in the 12th, 31st and 38th minutes to comfortably dominate the game.

In KEDAH, the Kedah Darul Aman FC (KDA FC) team managed to take advantage of playing at home after beating Sri Pahang FC 1-0 in an action at the Darul Aman Stadium, Alor Star.

KDA FC’s only net was made by centre-back Rodney Celvin Akwensivie in the 55th minute.
