Naver Cloud has acquired Multi-Tier Cloud Security (MTCS), a Singapore cloud security certificate.

Naver Cloud announced on July 26 that it has acquired Multi-Tier Cloud Security (MTCS), a Singapore cloud security certificate, for the first time among Korean cloud operators.

MTCS is indispensable for participation in public tenders in Singapore. It will help Naver Cloud enter the global public cloud market beyond Korea.

MTCS is a certification system sponsored by the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore and developed by the Information Technology Standards Committee (ITSC) of Singapore. Naver Cloud has acquired the highest level of Tier-3 in its first attempt to win MTSC.

This certification has effectively proved Naver Cloud’s security and safety capabilities. Thus it will narrow Naver Cloud’s gap with global competitors, if Naver Cloud wins cloud projects from the Asia-Pacific region including Singapore. The certification is expected to help Naver Cloud further solidify its position in the Korean financial cloud business.
