Planet 13’s Las Vegas SuperStore in Nevada is doubling the square footage on its sales floor and expanding the dispensary to ~23,000 square feet, according to an October 19 press release.

The expansion’s CAPEX cost is $1.5 – $2.5 million and is expected to be complete by the end of Q1 2021.The additional entertainment feature and lower wait times, and theoretically improve the overall retail experience.
“Our focus on providing a safe, personalized shopping experience combined with overwhelming demand has led to longer wait times and lost customers during peak periods,” stated Larry Scheffler, Co-CEO of Planet 13. “We are expanding our sales floor, increasing cash registers, and adding new entertainment to capture lost sales and improve the shopping experience. Planet 13 has built its reputation on great customer service and unique entertainment. We are achieving record sales even with Las Vegas at ~50 percent tourist occupancy. As Las Vegas returns to normal and this industry continues to grow, we anticipate that this will be the first of many expansions we will undertake to keep up with demand.”
Earlier in the year, Mike Tyson’s cannabis resort Tyson Ranch and Planet 13 Holdings Inc. announced their collaboration on Feb. 25 to sell Undisputed 87 premium line of cannabis at the Planet 13 Las Vegas SuperStore.
Planet 13 calls its venue the “world’s largest cannabis dispensary and entertainment superstore.” The sheer size of Planet 13 and its high level of quality embodies the luxurious nature of Las Vegas that most tourists are looking for.
Thanks to Nevada’s reciprocity laws, medical cannabis dispensaries in the area have grown to enormous proportions to accommodate the influx of tourists from other states, with even more expansion following the implementation of recreational cannabis.
