Popular Queenstown hotel, QT has launched a new champagne parlour experience, in collaboration with Maison Mumm.

Envisioned as “the sound of bottles popping will be singing out across the lake,” the champagne parlour will be taking up a limited residence at the QT Queenstown, opening on the 20th of March until the 30th of April.

The parlour has been designed with plush and peachy-keen furnishings inspired by the popular Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé, and entry to the parlour will include a bottle of said wine upon arrival. The experience will also include Mumm macaroons, Aceology frosé facemasks, and a champagne breakfast in bed, complete with rosé mimosas.

A ‘director of champagne’ will be introduced for the month-long exercise and hidden around the hotel for guests to find, as well as a ‘champagne hour’ between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm daily.

General Manager of the QT Queenstown, Jeremy Black said that this will be a new and exciting experience for guests.

“QT is known for bringing to life quirky, unexpected experiences with impeccable culinary offerings set among the unimpeachable design. The Champagne Parlour is just that,” explained Black.

“We’re thrilled to partner with G.H. Mumm to bring to life this one-of-a-kind experience for guests to celebrate all those special moments in life deserving of Champagne. We can’t wait for QT guests across New Zealand to experience this unmissable escape.”

The champagne parlour interior has two pieces of art sourced from Lyttleton-based artist, Alexandra Weston, and plans to combine the champagne lounge after its month-long residency with the existing reds bar is already underway.
