Chopra wants to turn a house into a home with her new brand.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her business partner, Maneesh K. Goyal, have launched an India-inspired tabletop and homeware brand named SONA Home.
“I’ve always been a very intentional person with everything that I do, and so when launching SONA Home, [Goyal] and I wanted to bring our love of our joint heritage coupled with a penchant for entertaining friends and family at home, to create a brand that I am insanely proud of,” Chopra said.
The founders personally curated a collection of bone china, linens, accessories, and other pieces for their new brand.
SONA Home’s exclusive first release also includes Sultan’s Garden, a selection of dinnerware and servings pieces, and Panna, a range of embroidered linens and décor.
“It was challenging to come from India and make America my second home. But my journey led me to a place where I found a second family and friends. I bring a piece of India into everything I do. And this is an extension of that thought,” Chopra explains the brand’s concept.
SONA Home employs Indian hospitality, which holds that guests must be treated with the highest regard.
In fact, the brand draws inspiration from the Sanskrit phrase, “Atithi Devo Bhava.” This translates to “a guest is like a God.”
“Indian culture is known for its hospitality, it’s all about community and bringing people together… And for me that is the ethos of SONA Home. From our table to yours, we hope that you experience our same love for hosting, community, family, and culture in your home,” Chopra said.
Chopra and Goyal previously collaborated on the New York-based Indian restaurant SONA in 2021.
