Naomi Campbell is back as the face of the Fendi Peekaboo bag for its SS23 campaign, shot by British photographer David Sims.
For the new season, the company said that Campbell’s “unique persona perfectly symbolises the independence, ambition and strength of character that the Peekaboo represents for women across the world”.
The cinematic visual campaign includes both colour and black-and-white imagery.
The bag — originally created back in 2008 — was design by Silvia Venturini Fendi and premiered at the label’s SS09 show as the company worked to “redefine modern accessories in the waning years of ‘it-bag’.”
It has been a staple of the label’s collections ever since with multiple editions seeing it evolve style-wise.
And it has also benefited over the years from the heavy continuing marketing support Fendi has put behind it. This has helped it win a legion of high-profile fans — from royalty such as Queen Rania of Jordan to Amal Clooney, Angelina Jolie, Rihanna, Hailey Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Rita Ora, Reese Witherspoon, Hye Kyo Song, Tang Yixin and more.
