Audemars Piguet ประกาศเปิดตัวนาฬิกาที่มีความซับซ้อนหลายรุ่นในช่วงครึ่งหลังของปี และมีรุ่นหนึ่งที่เซอร์ไพรส์วงการมากๆ ก็คือ Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Starwheel ที่เป็นการกลับมาของการแสดงค่าเวลาแบบวานเดอริงอาวส์สู่คอลเลคชั่นของ AP
วานเดอริงอาวส์เป็นวิธีการแสดงค่าเวลาแบบหนึ่งที่ใช้ระบบจานหมุนโคจรรอบหน้าปัด โดยจานหมุนนั้นจะพาตัวเลขชั่วโมงให้เคลื่อนผ่านสเกลนาทีเพื่อบอกเวลาแทนเข็ม Audemars Piguet นำระบบบอกเวลาลักษณะนี้กลับมาผลิตอีกครั้งในปี ค.ศ. 1991 ในชื่อรุ่นว่า Starwheel และผลิตต่อเนื่องจนถึงปี ค.ศ. 2003 มาในวันนี้ Starwheel ก็ได้กลับมาโลดแล่นใหม่อีกครั้งในคอลเลคชั่น Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet ซึ่งมีรูปทรงตัวเรือนสไตล์ร่วมสมัยที่ซับซ้อน สอดรับกับความน่าทึ่งของระบบวานเดอริงอาวส์ได้อย่างลงตัว
จานหมุนในนาฬิการุ่นใหม่นี้ผลิตจากอลูมิเนียมและมีลักษณะโค้งเล็กน้อย ในแต่ละชั่วโมงนั้นจานหมุนจะคล่อยๆ เคลื่อนผ่านสเกลนาทีที่ทำรัศมี 120 องศาทางด้านบนของหน้าปัด และใน Starwheel รุ่นใหม่นี้มีเข็มวินาทีเพิ่มเข้ามาตรงกลางหน้าปัดด้วยเพื่อความสะดวกในการใช้งานประจำวันซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่ Starwheel รุ่นยุคทศวรรษที่ 1990 ไม่มี พื้นหน้าปัดเป็นอเวนจูรีนสีน้ำเงินและช่วยทำให้ทุกอย่างดูมีมิติได้เป็นอย่างดี
Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Starwheel มีตัวเรือนชิ้นกลางผลิตจากเซรามิกสีดำ และมีขอบตัวเรือน ขาตัวเรือนและฝาหลังผลิตจากไวท์โกลด์ นาฬิกาขนาด 41 มม. รุ่นนี้สวมใส่ด้วยสายแบบเคลือบยางสีดำ เครื่องนาฬิกาเป็นแบบขึ้นลานอัตโนมัติรุ่นคาลิเบอร์ 4310 ซึ่งมีกำลังลานสำรอง 70 ชั่วโมง โดยรวมแล้วถือว่าเป็นนาฬิกาที่น่าจับตามองจริงๆ

For the second semester of 2022, Audemars Piguet has brought to the market several novelties that represent a heightened level of technical and material expertise. We begin in earnest with one Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Starwheel which marks the return of the wandering hours complication to the product portfolio of the Le Brassus manufacture.
Wandering hours was a highly specific type of time display where, thanks to a system of satellite discs, the hour numerals travel along an arc of minutes. Audemars Piguet reintroduced this complication in 1991 under the model name Starwheel, which remained in production until 2003. Today, the Starwheel is reborn in the Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet collection whose ultra-contemporary case and architectural lines complement perfectly the visual spectacle created by the eponymous complication.
Three slightly domed aluminium discs take turn indicating the hour as one progresses along the minute scale across the 120-degree arc at the top of the dial. A central second hand with curved tip, not present in the 1990s models, is introduced in this novelty for enhanced practicality. Blue aventurine backdrop adds increased depth to the whole ensemble.
The Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Starwheel is crafted with a black ceramic case middle and white gold bezel, lugs and caseback. Measuring 41 mm, the striking timepiece is worn on a black rubber-coated strap. It is animated by the selfwinding Calibre 4310 with a minimum power reserve of 70 hours, and without a doubt an important novelty to watch.
