Emma Brown has always had an eye for design and loved all things creative. She is particularly drawn to spaces and the impact they have on people’s everyday lives from accommodation to office spaces.
“There’s just something about a well-considered space, you just can’t beat it.”
She created her integrated architectural and interior design and construction management studio, Emma Brown Design (EBD), after spending many years living on her farm with her children.
“I was inspired to create something for my children and I that was more than a job – somewhere that inspired me everyday.”
The studio continues to be a source of joy for Brown, who is always excited to help create spaces for her clients that exceed their expectations. From commercial fit-outs to minor renovations, Brown and her team tackle a wide variety of projects.
“We have a saying here at EBD, ‘starting at your initial inquiry, through to handing over the keys… we’re your people.’”
Outside of her talented team, Brown sources inspiration from seeing the work of other designers on social media and the podcast “Super Creative”.
“Listening to how other creatives tackle different design challenges inspires me to aim high with our design concepts. I’m always learning, growing and pushing boundaries,” added Brown.
“My end goal is to be the best person, designer, creative, business owner, as well as mother, partner, daughter and friend that I can possibly be.”
“Always believe in yourself, to never stop learning, to truly believe that anything is possible – and also to not be afraid of hard work,” is her top tip for anyone interested in venturing into architectural and interior design
“Anything worth having is worth working hard for.”
