Development of the 129-room Hilton Garden Inn Brisbane City Centre North has begun, with the projected opening in late 2024. Queensland Minister for Tourism, Innovation, and Sport, Stirling Hinchliffe, joins Hilton to break ground on this exciting new project.
“Domestic tourism in Queensland is bouncing back stronger than before the pandemic, with the latest industry data putting the State in a nation-leading position,” Hinchliffe said. “Well-located accommodation will be highly sought-after as new opportunities emerge on our green and gold runway to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.”
The new hotel will be strategically located 13 kilometres from Brisbane Airport to provide convenient access to Brisbane’s nightlife capital. At an easy walking distance from city centre attractions, the hotel will neighbour local restaurants and bars such as Howard Smith Wharves and Eagle Street Pier.
Rupert Lang, director of Spring Hill Property Group and Image Developments, explained their excitement to partner with Hilton on the project, bringing the Hilton Garden Inn brand to the east coast CBD for the first time.
Hayes Anderson Lynch Architects designed Hilton Garden Inn Brisbane City Centre North. It will offer travellers upscale and affordable accommodation options, including meeting facilities, fitness rooms, a 24-hour grab-and-go retail store, and a full-service restaurant and bar.
Area Vice President and Head of Australasia Hilton, Paul Hutton, explained their commitment to this exciting Brisbane culture.
“Hilton is committed to growing its presence in Queensland. Hilton Garden Inn Brisbane City Centre North will mark Hilton’s fifth hotel in Queensland and its second in Brisbane – a fantastic addition to Hilton Brisbane located on Elizabeth Street.”
