Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Purple Sapphire – new frontier in the art of sapphire
Hublot’s Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Purple Sapphire has achieved a new frontier in the art of sapphire – combining the tourbillon complication with the disruptive material in a totally exclusive colour.
This new purple tint is a composite made of Al₂O₃ (aluminium oxyde) and chrome, with the case and movement blending together seamlessly.
Hublot offers a self-winding tourbillon with three full days of power reserve (72 hours) utilizing ceramic ball bearings for its winding system. Its micro-rotor placed at 12 o’clock – a virtually unprecedented position in watchmaking – provides a fine aesthetic balance with the tourbillon located at 6 o’clock.
The visibility of the open dial is enhanced by hands and hour markers highlighted by a luminescent coating. The transparent purple rubber strap with lined relief – featuring the brand’s patented One Click express interchangeability system and titanium folding clasp – completes the avant-garde style of this limited edition of 50 pieces.
