Accor announced the opening of Mercure Bukhara Old Town in Uzbekistan. Quintessential to the local heritage and surroundings, the new hotel will offer a unique experience for visitors wanting to stay in the heart of Bukhara.

Constructed in 2022, the three-story building was designed to reflect the architectural beauty of the Old Town. Rich in history and culture, the hotel showcases the singularity of Uzbekistan. As one of the most ancient cities in Central Asia, Bukhara is a museum town comprised of more than 140 architectural monuments dating back to the medieval period.

Alexis Delaroff, COO of Accor New East Europe, expressed his anticipation of this long-awaited project.

“Mercure hotels are located in most major cities across Europe. All of them have distinct individual characters inspired by the culture of their locations,” Delaroff said. “We are delighted that this truly amazing and authentic project in Bukhara has been brought to life thanks to our joint efforts with the partner. We are confident that the new Mercure in Bukhara will become popular among international guests and Uzbekistan residents.”

Conveniently located within a ten-minute drive from the international airport, the hotel’s premium location opens guests to the quality of local culture. Moreover, the impressive architecture, designed by Zoirsho Klichev, immerses guests in Bukhara’s authenticity.
