ชมภาพจริงของนาฬิการุ่นเด่นที่เปิดตัวในงาน LVMH Watch Week 2023 ที่สิงคโปร์

LVMH จัดงาน LVMH Watch Week เป็นครั้งแรกที่ดูไบเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2020 เพื่อนำเสนอผลงานอันโดดเด่นของ 4 แบรนด์ในเครือที่ทำธุรกิจนาฬิกา ได้แก่ Bulgari, Hublot, TAG Heuer และ Zenith แต่ว่า LVMH Watch Week ที่ตามมาอีก 2 ครั้งนั้นต้องจัดแบบออนไลน์เท่านั้นเนื่องด้วยสถานการณ์โควิด จนกระทั่งปีนี้จึงมีการจัดงานดังกล่าวในรูปแบบจริงได้อีกครั้งที่โรงแรม Capella Singapore บนเกาะเซ็นโตซ่าของสิงคโปร์ระหว่างวันที่ 10-12 มกราคม โดยแต่ละแบรนด์ก็เลือกจับจองวิลล่าภายในรีสอร์ทเพื่อทำเป็นบ้านชั่วคราวต้อนรับนักข่าวจากสิงคโปร์ ไทย มาเลเซีย อินโดนีเซีย เวียดนามและฟิลิปปินส์ เราขอนำเสนอผลงานที่เราชื่นชอบเป็นพิเศษจากแต่ละแบรนด์ตามลำดับที่เราได้เข้าพบจริงดังนี้
นัดแรกของเราในตอนเช้าก็คือ TAG Heuer ซึ่งสามารถนำอดีตและอนาคตมาพบกันที่ปัจจุบันในปี 2023 นี้เมื่อทางแบรนด์หยิบเอาดีไซน์ตัวเรือนสไตล์ Monza กลับมาผลิตอีกครั้งด้วยวัสดุคาร์บอนสีดำซึ่งจะมีลวดลายสีเทาที่แตกต่างกันในแต่ละเรือนที่ผลิต หน้าปัดเป็นแบบสเกเลตั้นเกือบทั้งหมด แต่เพิ่มลูกเล่นด้วยการทำแผ่นแซฟไฟร์ทรงกลมสีน้ำเงินเข้มไปติดตั้งไว้ในวงทดเวลาเพื่อช่วยอำนวยความสะดวกในการอ่านค่าของระบบจับเวลา และเมื่อเข้าสู่ที่มืดก็จะเห็นว่าจานวันที่นั้นสามารถเรืองแสงเป็นสีฟ้าได้เหมือนกับเข็มบอกเวลาและหลักชั่วโมงด้วย TAG Heuer Monza Flyback Chronometer ขนาด 42 มม. รุ่นนี้ทำงานด้วยเครื่อง Heuer 02 ที่ผ่านการรับรองความเที่ยงตรงระดับโครโนมิเตอร์แล้ว สวมใส่ด้วยสายหนังสีดำเดินด้ายฟ้า และมีบานพับผลิตจากวัสดุคาร์บอนเหมือนกับตัวเรือน
เมื่อไปถึงวิลล่าของ Bulgari เราก็พบว่าทางแบรนด์คัดเฉพาะนาฬิกาผู้หญิงมานำเสนอเท่านั้น ไม่มีรุ่นผู้ชายเลยแม้แต่รุ่นเดียว สำหรับนาฬิกาผู้หญิงที่เราตื่นเต้นด้วยที่สุดจะต้องเป็น Serpenti Tubogas Infinity ซึ่งเป็นวิวัฒนาการของ Serpenti Tubogas ที่มาถึงจุดที่นอกจากจะพันรอบข้อมือหรือแขนเจ้าของได้แล้วยังประดับเพชรบนสายได้อีกด้วย ทั้งนี้ก็เพราะ Bulgari คิดค้นวิธีการผลิตสายนาฬิกาแบบใหม่ด้วยการใช้ข้อทองร้อยลงไปในแกนไทเทเนียมที่ดัดโค้งไว้แล้ว ต่างจากเดิมที่นำแถบทองมาพันรอบแกนแล้วจึงนำไปดัดให้โค้ง ข้อทองที่ออกแบบใหม่นี้มีความหนามากกว่าแถบทองที่ใช้แต่เดิมจึงสามารถรองรับการประดับเพชรและอัญมณีต่างๆ ได้ ทาง Bulgari เองก็คงมั่นใจแล้วว่าเทคนิคนี้จะนำไปสู่การตกแต่งน้องงูด้วยการใช้สีสันและวัสดุต่างๆ ประกอบกันได้อย่างไม่มีที่สิ้นสุดจึงตั้งชื่อรุ่นไว้ตั้งแต่ตอนนี้เลยว่า Serpenti Tubogas Infinity
มาต่อกันที่ Zenith ซึ่งมีผลิตภัณฑ์รุ่นเด่นเป็น Defy Skyline Skeleton ซึ่งจะแทนที่ Defy Classic Skeleton ตัวเก่าโดยสมบูรณ์ ตัวเรือนสเตนเลสสตีลของนาฬิการุ่นนี้มีขนาด 41 มม. เท่าเดิม แต่ในเรื่องความหนานั้นเรารู้สึกว่าหนาขึ้นเล็กน้อย (อาจเป็นเพราะว่าเปลี่ยนจากเครื่อง Elite เป็นเครื่อง El Primero ด้วย) หน้าปัดสเกเลตั้นดีไซน์ใหม่เป็นดาว 4 แฉกเพื่อความสมมาตรในทุกระนาบ (เดิมเป็น 5 แฉก) และอีกคุณลักษณะหนึ่งที่แตกต่างจากเดิมอย่างเห็นได้ชัดก็คือขอบตัวเรือนซึ่งรุ่น Defy Classic เดิมนั้นเป็นขอบกลมเกลี้ยงธรรมดา แต่ Defy Skyline นั้นมีขอบตัวเรือนแบบ 12 เหลี่ยมที่ดูคล้ายกับ Defy รุ่นดั้งเดิมจากปี ค.ศ. 1969
แบรนด์สุดท้ายที่เราได้พบก็คือ Hublot ที่ในปีนี้มีการผลิตนาฬิการุ่นที่สามให้กับ SORAI หรือ Save Our Rhino Africa India ซึ่งทำงานรณรงค์พิทักษ์แรดในป่าแถบแอฟริกาและอินเดียจากการถูกล่า ตลอดจนการช่วยเหลือแรดที่บาดเจ็บหรือลูกแรดที่ต้องอยู่เองตามลำพังเนื่องจากสูญเสียพ่อแม่ไป ตัวเรือนของ Big Bang Unico SORAI รุ่นใหม่นี้ผลิตจากเซรามิกสีเทาเหมือนกับผิวหนังของตัวแรด หน้าปัดตกแต่งด้วยโทนสีเหลือง ส้ม ม่วงและชมพูเหมือนกับสีของรุ่งอรุณแห่งวันใหม่ สื่อถึงความหวังที่เกิดขึ้นเมื่อพ้นช่วงเวลากลางคืนที่มีการลักลอบล่าสัตว์ในความมืด สายนาฬิกาเป็นลายพรางสีดำ ส้มและม่วง รายได้ส่วนหนึ่งจากการขายนาฬิกาลิมิเต็ดเอดิชั่นจำนวน 100 เรือนนี้จะนำไปช่วยสนับสนุน SORAI โดยตรงเหมือนกับสองรุ่นก่อนหน้า
Hublot, TAG Heuer และ Zenith จะนำเสนอผลิตภัณฑ์อื่นอีกในปีนี้ที่งาน Watches and Wonders Geneva ช่วงปลายเดือนมีนาคม แต่ว่า Bulgari จะยังไม่ใช้วิธีเดิมคือการหาโลเคชั่นที่เหมาะสมภายนอกงานเพื่อจัดโชว์เล็กๆ ของตนเองอีกอย่างน้อยหนึ่งปี ติดตามนาฬิกาเปิดตัวใหม่ของทุกแบรนด์ในช่วงเวลานั้นได้ง่ายๆ ผ่านทาง Facebook และ Instagram ของ World of Watches Thailand ครับ

LVMH first staged the LVMH Watch Week event in Dubai in 2020 to showcase the creativity of the four watchmaking brands within the group: Bulgari, Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith. Two more editions followed in digital format due to the pandemic situation. And now we are at LVMH Watch Week 2023, held physically once again from 10 to 12 January at Capella Singapore on the city’s resort island of Sentosa. The location allowed for each brand to take up a couple of villas where they meet with regional journalists from Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines. We are presenting selected novelties to you in the order of brand meeting schedule provided to us.
Our day started with TAG Heuer where we were excited by how they manage to recreate the nostalgic Monza in a forged carbon version. Measuring 42 mm, the new TAG Heuer Monza Flyback Chronometer is strikingly contemporary also with a skeletonized dial, translucent blue sapphire counters, blue hour markers and contrasting red accent at the appropriate locations. When in the dark, the date will also glow in blue like the hands and the markers. This watch is powered by the chronometer-certified Heuer 02 self-winding movement, and worn on a black textile strap with blue stitching. The racing spirit is very strong with this piece indeed.
We were somewhat surprised, upon arriving at their boutique, that Bulgari chose to show only ladies’ timepieces at LVMH Watch Week this year. Still, the selection was tantalizing, particularly the aptly named Serpenti Tubogas Infinity. Here, the Bulgari has given the serpent another level of evolution. Instead of being able to wrap around the wrist or the forearm of the owner, the bracelet of the Serpenti Tubogas Infnity can be gem-set, thanks to the use of golden links on a curved titanium blade. This is different from the earlier Serpenti Tubogas watches where thinner gold thread is wrapped around the core before being curved into the desired shape. Technically, the greater thickness of the new gold links made it possible for the craftsmen to set this bracelet with diamonds (or other gemstones) as needed. We will not be surprised to see combinations of colors and materials coming from this line in the future.
If we are forced to choose just one favorite from the various novelties presented at LVMH Watch Week 2023 in Singapore, it will have to be this Zenith Defy Skyline Skeleton. This product replaces the Defy Classic Skeleton which was discontinued at the end of last year. Its stainless steel case maintains the same 41 mm, but it feels slightly thicker (probably due to the change of movement from an Elite to an El Primero). The skeletonized dial is in the shape of a four-pointed star instead of five on its predecessor. And while the Defy Classic had a simple round bezel, the Defy Skyline is equipped with a 12-sided bezel which takes after that of the original Defy watch from 1969.
Lastly, we met with Hublot who has unveiled the third Big Bang Unico SORAI limited edition at LVMH Watch Week 2023. SORAI or Save Our Rhino Africa India works to protect the endangered species in those regions. They combat poaching, treat injured rhinos and care for the young ones who are orphaned along the way. The ceramic case of this Big Bang Unico SORAI is in a specific shade of rhino grey. On the skeletonized dial, the hour markers and minute chapters are in a gradient of yellow, orange, purple and pink, signifying hope that comes with a new dawn. The strap is in a camouflage of black, orange and purple. A part of the proceeds from the sales of these 100 limited edition watches will go to support SORAI directly, same as the previous two series.
Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith will release more novelties in about two months at Watches and Wonders Geneva. Bulgari will not be a part of that show this year, but they will be present in Geneva to showcase more 2023 products in their own way.
