1259 ET – With Freedom Mobile now tucked under its wing, Quebecor will likely focus on growing its customer base, CIBC’s Stephanie Price says. The analyst says that Quebecor is in a good place to pursue a capital-efficient buildout of its national network, thanks to new spectrum and the network access agreement with Rogers, which will reduce upfront capex and add bundling and roaming capabilities. “Post the Freedom launch, we expect Quebecor to focus on subscriber growth and expect Quebecor to target a run-rate of about 300K net adds a year from the Freedom assets,” she says.
