The Lewisham Foundation has announced the 2023 Lewisham Awards will be returning to Shed 10 for its 21st Birthday celebration.
The event will celebrate the future stars of the hospitality industry while reflecting on the people and businesses who paved the way.
Nominations are now open for this year’s ceremony, and will shine a spotlight on the establishments and individuals going above and beyond to create exceptional hospitality experience in Auckland.
Nominations close Sunday, 23 April at 5.00 pm, and only those working within the hospitality sector in Auckland are eligible to nominate. Each industry member can fill out one nomination form, and establishments can submit a maximum of five nomination forms. No individual is entitled to nominate themselves or the establishment they work for, and there is a one-year stand down for previous winners in each category.
Tickets to the event are currently on sale, and it is expected to be an opportunity for the Auckland hospitality scene to collaboratively celebrate the past year’s achievements. A selection of award-winning wines, local beer and cider offerings, and a delicious array of cocktails will be available on the night, as well as an assortment of food.
Named after Richard Lewisham who was a pioneer of the Auckland hospitality scene, The Lewisham Awards were established in 2002 with the main objective to encourage excellence in the city’s hospitality community. With this in mind, the best in the business are nominated and honoured by their peers once a year followed by an after-party to celebrate this success. The awards are organised by a dedicated committee of industry professionals and administered by the Restaurant Association of New Zealand.
