Nota Blu New Brasserie, Marbella, from Casanis Group, is their fourth restaurant in Malaga province, this time with contemporary French gastronomy. Zazou Belounis, owner and CEO of the restaurant took inspiration from the mythical blue note in jazz, and with this created this extraordinarily restaurant and blu bar.

Executive chef and Casanis Group partner Fabian Cangas creates classic French dishes with a fresh perspective. His travels around the world and his experience allow him to add a fresh twist to traditional French cuisine, at Marbella’s destination restaurant, Nota Blu New Brasserie.

Evocative Location

The restaurant’s location is iconic. As you enter through the impressive doors, you pass through a hallway with two fountains on either side that lead to the entrance and the main space of the restaurant. As well as a restaurant, Nota Blu New Brasserie has a spectacular terrace and Blu Bar. A concept of leisure and gastronomy where you can have dinner and without leaving the place, finish the night in its Blu Bar with professional pianist.

The design and architecture are standout, with a use of marble, wood combined with classic and avant-garde lines. The impressive open-plan kitchen allows you to see the experts at work.

Information

With capacity for 400 people, the restaurant offers a multitude of experiences across the main space, terrace, main lounge or Blu Bar.

One of the experiences that can be enjoyed in Nota Blu New Brasserie is the “private dining”; the private wine cellar, a place where more than 3000 bottles surround the clients while they enjoy a tasting menu with expertly curated wine pairing.

Casanis team

Zazou Belounis – Founder and CEO

Born in Paris in 1980, he started his career as a footballer in different countries: Malaysia, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Qatar. He decided to venture into the world of catering and in 2018 he teamed up with Guy Sirre and created Casanis Group, of which he would become the CEO.

Fabian Cangas – Executive Chef & Co-owner

From a very young age, he was immersed in the world of cooking, growing up in a family whose business was the manufacture of fresh pasta and pizzas in Mendoza, Argentina.

At the age of 19, he started his studies at the Celia Cooking School in Cordoba, Argentina. In 2000, he decided to come to Spain and chose Marbella, and joined Casanis Bistrot in 2003.

Guy Sirre – Partner

He began his culinary studies in Belgium at a very young age, worked in countless prestigious kitchens and founded Casanis Bistrot in 2003. Where some saw a historic house in Marbella old town about to be demolished, he envisioned a great restoration and rehabilitation project. Today this is the wonderful Casanis Bistrot.
