Fast-growing Australian luggage brand, July Luggage, is launching in New Zealand.
The company, which was launched in 2019 by Athan Didaskalou and Richard Li, specialises in producing luggage specifically designed for on-the-go travelling. Their products come complete with such features as ejectable batteries, phone charging ports, SilentMove 360 spinner wheels, and a lifetime warranty with an unbreakable polycarbonate shell.
Since the company was founded, a range of suitcases and accessories has been added to its market, all designed in Melbourne.
Co-founder, Athan Didaskalou said that the vision of July Luggage was to create better products to lift people’s travelling experiences.
“We are coming to Aotearoa to simply give our kiwi customers another option – with better features, unique personalisation options and an Australian approach to travel,” said Didaskalou.
The launch in New Zealand is not the first international expedition the brand has undertaken, having opened an eCommerce store in the United States in 2021. There they are well regarded for the Carry On Light, the world’s lighted double-wheel carry-on suitcase, weighing just 1.8 kilograms.
The company prides itself on being able to supply a better design, and thinks about the needs of travelling in the 21st century.
July only sells directly to consumers, avoiding traditional overheads and retailer markups of competitors, allowing the brand to create the best bag at a significantly lower price.
With some notable clients around the world, such as Harry Styles, Chrissy Teigen and Celeste Barber, July Luggage was also the official luggage partner of the Olympics and Commonwealth Games, and has stores located across Melbourne and Sydney.
