It was a moment of Filipino pride with Lukresia on the catwalk for French fashion house Thierry Mugler’s Fall 2023 show.
In an Instagram post, Vogue Philippines writes, “Luke Quismundo, who got started in fashion by recreating Mugler looks out of household items like leaves and woven mats, is now walking the runway for the brand itself at Paris Fashion Week.”
The post elaborates, “Otherwise known as Lukresia or @thirdworldbb, the Cebuano creative is taking ‘manifesting’ to the next level, after the French fashion brand tapped them to walk their Fall 2023 show.”

Nylon Manila reports, “Cebuano queer model Lukresia, aka Thirdworldbb, just made their runway debut today in Paris at Mugler’s couture show.”
The article also states, “The last Filipino supermodel that walked for the late Thierry Mugler was Anna Bayle. She was his muse from the 80s up until the 90s and became one of the highest paid models of her time. Her first show? Mugler at Paris Fashion Week in 1984. Since then, she would be a constant until she retired in 1994, leaving her career on a high note.”
Walk, walk, fashion baby.

In a related story, Preview writes, “Considered a hallmark event following the brand’s three-year runway hiatus and the passing of its founder Thierry Mugler in early 2022, the French label pulled out all the stops with a star-studded cast for its Fall/Winter 2023 showcase.”
According to the same report, the designer and model had already “made waves for their Mugler-inspired handmade creations” and that “the creative was a sight to behold on the Mugler stage, while decked-out in a tasseled number from the new collection, paired with leather trousers featuring zipped-down cutouts.”

Philippine Star’s article headline says, “Cebu model Lukresia slays Paris Fashion Week 2023 catwalk.” The story further states that the “Cebu-based model Lukresia made the queer community and Filipinos proud when she walked the runway for French fashion house Mugler at the recently concluded Paris Fashion Week” and describes the catwalk look as: “Lukresia donned a tight-fitting leather pants and tasseled silver top with her long-black hair looking sleek in a ponytail. She strutted the runaway and shimmied at one point, with the silver tassels creating waves as she walked toward the audience.”
