With consent for one of the highest buildings in town, a $23 million central-Queenstown development site is for sale. In 2019, developer Graham Wilkinson was granted permission to build a 393-room seven-floor complex, but now the site is for sale with Colliers Queenstown.
The development plans included four buildings and 12 ground-floor commercial tenancies. The most recent commercial sales in the same area went for between $5000 and $6000 per square metre, making the property valued between $19.5 and $23.5 million. The company called it one of Asia-Pacific’s most strategic development sites.
The site is in a prime location with other development projects underway. Close by is the Skyline Gondola, currently undergoing a $100 million upgrade. At the rear is the Lakeview site, where consent was recently granted for a billion-dollar apartment, hotel, and commercial project.
Located in the town centre, the site currently houses a mini golf centre and sits opposite the renowned iFLY building and the new Upper Village retail and entertainment complex.
